Facilities and Equipment
During the eye exam you will have retinal photos taken that will be kept on file for future comparison. You can see the photos and the doctor will explain exactly what you are looking at and what is being watched for. With this technology it may be possible to detect medical problems such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, high blood pressure, and others.

After your exam if you decide to order glasses with us we will use our VisiOffice to take precise measurements of your frame and pupillary distance. These measurements are precise to 0.01mm, allowing for unbelievably precise vision. You can also see various lens options and how they affect your vision (including anti-reflective coating, transitions, polarization, etc.). Lastly, if you are worried about how thick your lenses will be we can show you comparisons between plastic, polycarbonate, and hi-index lenses.
VisiOffice also measures heights for bifocals and progressive lenses. Taking these measurements allows us to fit the newest, most technologically advanced progressive lenses. We use the newest and most advanced progressive lenses available to give you edge-to-edge clarity without distortion or motion sickness problems.
You may have noticed the recent renovations in our office. In addition to a new exam room, we now offer Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT). The OCT analyzes the nerve fiber layer on the retina to help monitor glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
